BAJA SERVICE PROJECT

Baja 2009 would have marked our 7th annual service trip to Baja in the name of Christ.
We are making every effort to take up this annual service project again in 2010. We hope to continue our service under the direction of a local missionary who will assign volunteers to various work projects, doing all he can to match talents with the needs of the church, her members, and the surrounding community.
The $60* (estimated) registration fee includes everything you need for the weekend.
*Registrations postmarked after August 23, 2010 will be charged a $10.00 late fee.
Space is limited each weekend. Please specify your preferred dates when
registering. If you don't specify, we will assign you to a group in order to balance the groups.
YOU MUST HAVE A PASSPORT!
Border security is ever increasing. You may have no problem getting into Mexico, but if you want to get back home, you will need a US Passport.
You might want to consider getting your passport now and avoid the rush as the deadline draws near. It will be good for 10 years.

Our Leader and Speaker: To Be Determined
We have worked with Rev. David Crum for the past 6 years. However, after twenty-seven years of missionary labor in Mexico's border city of Tijuana came Rev. Crum was called north of the border to begin serving as the regional home missionary (RHM) of the Presbytery of Southern California.
Therefore, SCRF is in the process of identifying and coordinating with another missionary in Tijuana with whom we can continue our service project. Please pray that we will be granted success in this endeavor.
Important Insurance Information
If you plan to drive YOUR own automobile South of the border, you must have automobile insurance coverage that specifically covers you while in Mexico.
If your automobile insurance company will not provide a "rider" for your current policy, you will need buy a temporary policy. Rev. Crum can secure and prepay a policy for you email him with the following information as soon as possible.
o Full Name and Address of Registered Owner
o Make and Model of Vehicle
o V.I.N. (Vehicle Identification Number)
o License Plate Number
Please be prepared to reimburse Rev. Crum directly for this cost that is not included in the cost of the retreat (approximately $20 per vehicle).
