Baja 2008 marks our 6th annual service trip to Baja in the name of Christ.
While there, we will work under the direction of Rev. Dave Crum. He will assign volunteers to various work projects, doing all he can to match talents with the needs of the church, her members, and the surrounding community.
The $60* registration fee includes everything you need for the weekend.
*Registrations postmarked after August 25, 2008 will be charged a $10.00 late fee.
Space is limited each weekend. Please specify your preferred dates when
registering. If you don't specify, we will assign you to a group in order to balance the groups.
YOU MUST HAVE A PASSPORT!
Border security is ever increasing. You may have no problem getting into Mexico, but if you want to get back home, you will need a US Passport.
You might want to consider getting your passport now and avoid the rush as the deadline draws near. It will be good for 10 years.
Our Leader and Speaker: Rev. David Crum
Rev. Crum graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA, in 1982. He has been serving as a missionary to Mexico under the oversight of the Presbytery of Southern California of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church since that year.
In addition to ministering the Word to the church there, he coordinates and directs service projects aimed at developing the church there with the help of volunteers from fellow Christians in the United States.
Dave and his wife have three sons; Timothy, Michael, Adrian and a daughter; Jana.
Important Insurance Information
If you plan to drive YOUR own automobile South of the border, you must have automobile insurance coverage that specifically covers you while in Mexico.
If your automobile insurance company will not provide a "rider" for your current policy, you will need buy a temporary policy. Rev. Crum can secure and prepay a policy for you email him with the following information as soon as possible.
o Full Name and Address of Registered Owner
o Make and Model of Vehicle
o V.I.N. (Vehicle Identification Number)
o License Plate Number
Please be prepared to reimburse Rev. Crum directly for this cost that is not included in the cost of the retreat (approximately $20 per vehicle).
